This fictional emoji project for the DOMA restaurant is inspired by Okinawan Shias, symbols of protection and hospitality in Japanese culture. Their minimalist design consists of a black head with white details, red Japanese text to express an emotion and colorful accents (yellow, blue, etc) depending on the message, such as “It’s delicious” or “I’m thirsty”.
